
Beginning in the winter of 2008, the Harbor History Museum's restored Midway School will serve as the site of the Living History Day program.
Living History Day offer educators and their students the opportunity to step back in time and relive schoolhouse life as it was at the turn of the 19th century. Education consultant Elizabeth Scherman has created an exceptional school curriculum to help make the visit to the Midway School fun, educational, and truly memorable.
An in-depth educator packet is provided to assist instructors in making the visit beneficial for their students. The curriculum is designed for fourth graders, but suggestions for adapting the curriculum for older or younger students are included. Home schooled students and their parents are invited to participate in the Living History Day program.
